Amanda Moyer, MSN, FNP-BC, CCRN

I started my career in healthcare over 15 years ago, as a Certified Nurse’s Aide. After understanding the role and responsibilities of the nursing profession, I was motivated to become a Registered Nurse. After nearly a decade spent working in critical care, I have personally witnessed the amount of people struggling with mental health who were not receiving adequate or necessary care. From a young age, I experienced the impact of a loved one’s struggle with mental illness. This ignited a passion to pursue a career as a board-Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.

I have a huge passion for helping others lose weight and feel their absolute best. I have struggled with weight loss my entire life and know how it feels firsthand to always dread the number on the scale. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and polycystic ovary syndrome which caused me to have horrible brain fog, significant fatigue, weight gain, amongst other hormonal side effects. Battling these has empowered me to advocate for myself when providers would not listen, ensuring I receive appropriate care, just as I would for my patients. I have experienced the life altering benefits of treatments which have allowed me to feel like a new person, like myself again. My goal is to be someone you feel safe talking to, someone who listens without judgement, helps you explore treatment options that make sense for you, and supports you in getting back to feeling like yourself again, mentally and physically.
